How to increase teaching quality and student satisfaction with a few simple steps?

Teaching quality and student satisfaction very much depend on class processes and on methods of assessment. Common problems in courses include class discussions that suffer from a lack of student involvement, student presentations that lack clarity, and group work that is graded without being sensitive to the individual contributions of students. These and other issues can be improved with surprisingly easy methods. In this talk I will discuss several of these methods.
